Gavin Petz
Gav, the new boy, joined The Guards in September 2011 after a lengthy audition process that started way back in January that year.
Out of 15 potential candidates, Gav shone through way ahead of the rest and immediately hit it off with the rest of the band. He was the third bass player that made it to an audition and the rest of the band knew right away that they need look no further!An extremely knowlegeable performer, Gav's ability on bass compliments the rest of the band perfectly, his style really brings out the funkyness of the rhythm section and his stage presence gives the bands live act a whole new dimension.
With playing experience spanning more than fifteen years, Gav has been involved with bands such as; Duvet, No Verdict, Blurb, Kaiser Thiefs and Various ABBA tribute bands. He also plays guitar, drums and piano.
